Meet our staff
Susan Utz , Director of Music. She makes magic with a small group of talented singers and instrumentalists. Susan lives in New Albany, Indiana with her husband, Curt, and their dog, Daisy. She has three grown children – Logan Stone, Alex Utz, and Aliya Utz. Susan has been on the MTPC staff for 16 years, currently serving as Music Director and keyboardist. She has played the piano since the age of six years old and is extremely grateful for the impact that music has had on her personal and spiritual life. She has also worked as a Speech/Language Therapist in the Greater Clark County School Corporation for 39 years. She is thrilled to be part of the Mount Tabor Presbyterian Church family.
Rev. Sue Trigger, Pastor. Rev. Sue is dedicated to serving God by creating space for everyone to encounter God's unconditional love in contemporary and traditional ways. You won't experience services like Bright Sunday and Pentecost exactly like other churches. Rev. Sue received her BA in English and Speech/Drama and Secondary Education from Buena Vista College, Storm Lake, IA; her MDiv from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and has completed certifications and advanced education in faith formation, evangelism, and conflict management. She serves the PC(USA) on the Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy. One of Sue's passions is sewing liturgical vestments for pastors and congregations who love liturgical art but can't purchase from expensive vendors. Sue is a classically trained vocalist and loves singing with the choir. She loves to knit, crochet, and read historical fiction. She especially loves spending time with her grandson, Deen, her children Kate and Charlie, and her husband and colleague in ministry, Rev. Mitch. Rev. Sue is excited to be part of the Mt. Tabor family as we serve God and others together.
