We're so glad that you are here.
Mt. Tabor Presbyterian has a rich history of community engagement in New Albany. From the beginning, in 1832, people gathering to learn, worship, and serve God together has been at the core of our identity.
We value acceptance of everyone!
Everyone is welcome at MTPC! What you look like, where you come from, what you believe, how you identify yourself are part of what makes you who you are. You are God's child. The door is open for you as you are. All who want to know God and experience the life changing love and joy of Christ will find a home at MTPC. At Mt. Tabor, we are more than family, we are friends and family and there is a place for you.
We are discerning our purpose and God’s role in our lives together.
Faith is a journey best taken together. We know that finding our Christian purpose comes from listening for God's message, asking questions about the Bible, and wondering about our personal faith experiences. Discerning our purpose means listening to one another as we share our stories. It means growing together in an atmosphere where questions are welcomed. If exploring your faith sounds appealing, we're the place for you.
We are partners in service to others.
Service is a priority at MTPC, and working together with the community to impact the lives of those who need help happens in many ways. We give our time with hands on efforts, by gathering and distributing food, creating and sharing handcrafted winter wear, by sending financial support, and by providing space for other non-profits who are serving our community. As Presbyterians, we join with our siblings in Christ in the PC(USA) through special offerings that impact the world.
